Watcha-doing?
My "old" Seiko SBBN007 diver's watch finally gets a bracelet. This watch originally came with the Z-22 "wave vent" rubber strap fitted but I swapped it for a 22mm thick leather strap as soon as I got it, back in 2007.
I don't recall the original SBBN007 "Tuna Can" being sold with a factory fitted bracelet, so most owners of this model made do with either the original rubber band or with aftermarket metal bracelets.
I know a fellow watch collector who graciously gifted me with one of his extra watch bands. It had this unique "rice bead" pattern, solid links, stainless steel material and was known as the "Watchadoo".
The bracelet was originally on a vintage Seiko 7002-7001 which I didn't particularly like (it had a non original Seiko dial) and it took me years to try a swap.
Needless to say, this Tuna Can immediately felt heavier on my wrist and I had the links adjusted for a snug fit or the weight of this watch would cause it to slip down due to gravity.
