It's about a fence.... :)
This is the border between Denmark and Germany. In the background you can see the river "Vidåen" that forms the border. The houses in the background are in Germany.
Denmark (and the EU) has built a fence at the border to protect the country from German wild boars. Till now there is no swine fever in Germany (but in Poland close to the German border).
Swine fever would be disastrous for Danish farmers.. This fence is more than 70 km long and did cost a fortune..
The funny thing is that 70 km to the east at the Flensborg Fjord the authorities couldn't build a fence...
