Large Format Luke Portrait 1

Look at this image in its full size! These are my first ever test-photos taken with a $350 large format camera from the 1940-50's! Glad it still works!

This old camera was a blast to use! Notice the tilt-shift on the left hand side... I need to practice this a little as I wish I would have got a little tilt-shift on both the left and the right. Next time. But I love the tonality of these images, the sharpness (though it was taken with a crappy, 50 year old lens, wide open at a 30th of a second shutter speed)! I am going to mount my huge, vintage, Kodak Aero-Ektar f/2.5 178mm lens on this camera next! I loved how much this process slowed me down. I took 2 photos of each of my boys and loved them both - compared to shooting 200 shots of each of them with my 1DsMkII then walk away with 1 or 2 that I love from there too! This was a slow but very satisfying experience.
