Ready to Gybe

A few photos from today’s Laser Traveller at Stokes Bay. What promised to be a wet and windy day didn’t fail to deliver. Although it wasn’t as wet as first thought the wind still came. With nearly 45 boats on the course it made for some interesting photos.

The photos are taken from a 5 meter RIB and this time i tried to take my photos whilst sitting on the floor of the boat. I think you will agree, the different point of view really adds to the photos.

It was also the first time that i had used my Think-tank Hydrophobia 70-200 and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It worked really well, kept the wet out and even with a little bit of fogging allowed me to "Chimp" at my photos whilst keeping my hands and more importantly the Camera Dry.

For those interested, more photos are available at:

Im afraid over there you will find wonky horizons, odd cropping, but in my defence the boat was all over the place and i was sitting below the water line with my camera less than 2 feet above the sea.
