Young Raccoon

While walking around a conservation area we were surprised to find many raccoons out in full daylight. I believe they were all females and there were also very small young raccoons in the underbrush. The adults were fishing and looking for food, so I'm guessing that it is likely safer for them to be out with the little ones during the day.
