old barn

I treated myself to the new issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors, a magazine I just love. One of the techniques featured was using "citrasolv" to create interesting paper from old magazine pages. This is a page from an ancient "House & Garden". You paint citrasolve onto the page, and the chemicals make the ink dissolve. Once the page is dry, you can create a new painting with the color bleed. I painted the barn and silo using the existing ink colors. I then scanned the photo and added a texture, and some brushed birds! What a fun, creative activity. (I know, my painting needs help....this is my first try!)
