Fly fishing - Lake Mcgregor, Mackenzie Country, South Island, New Zealand

Yes there is a fly fisher in this picture! I just love the way the landscape dwarfs the angler.

A popular lake, alongside its much bigger neighbour Lake Alexandrina, for fly fishing, this lake's wetland also supports native bird species included crested grebe, scaup, grey duck, grey teal, shoveler duck and various shag (cormorant) species. It's shallow edges may also host the very rare black stilt.
