In New Zealand cheap holiday cottages by rivers lakes and sea, usually wooden and built of recycled materials, are called a baches. This coastal bach at Kaitorete Spit was slowly fading into the landscape with the effect of constant salt-laden winds, sea spray, sun and rain.
