I live at the base of Mt Victoria in Wellington city, New Zealand's capital. It was a beautiful spring Saturday afternoon so I decided to walk around the northern base of the mountain then up and over the top back to my house. These photos record the journey. Mt Victoria sits on the edge of the beautiful Wellington harbour and includes the shores of Oriental Bay, the inner city's popular bathing, sporting, cafe and restaurant scene. The suburb includes some of Wellington's beautiful Victorian and Edwardian architecture, mized in with some of the city's most desireable modern properties.
