A soft South Westland day

On my way back to the hotel from my early morning walk around Lake Matheson I was taken by this shot of cattle grasing a misty pasture dotted with native NZ trees. This is such a quintessential shot of the West Coast pastoral scene. Isolated rimu or kahikatea scattered across otherwise cleared farmland, with cattle looming out of the mist.
