Ngutuparore - wrybill - Anarhynchus frontalis

The new season's wrybill arrivals at the Ashley Estuary, after migrating from the northern harbours of the North Island where they over wintered. After feeding up at the estuary they will head upriver to breed in the braided shingle riverbeds.
