Poaka battle

This series of three shots shows a juvenile poaka (pied stilt - Himantopus himatopus) being attacked by a pair of adults. I suspect that as these pictures were taken at the beginning of spring, the adults were probably driving their last season's offspring away so they could concentrate on a new generation.
