I photographed these Paris rooftops and, in the distance, Palais Garnier or Opéra Garnier, the Paris opera house at the Place de l'Opéra, from the rooftop of the Printemps department store. One of the Printemps Art Deco domes is visible in the foreground. The Palais Garnier, an architectural masterpiece, was built at the request of Emperor Napoleon III and opened on January 5, 1875.
