I photographed these Paris rooftops and, in the distance, Palais Garnier or Opéra Garnier, the Paris opera house at the Place de l'Opéra, from the rooftop of the Printemps department store. A Printemps Art Deco dome is visible in the foreground. The Palais Garnier, an architectural masterpiece, was built at the request of Emperor Napoleon III and opened on January 5, 1875.
