Blobulous [C_061536-832br_avgd_ps]

I like to play with processing of star trails now and then. Here I used my "Blobulous" technique to make the final position of the stars stand out. I also used the "Smoothee" technique and, of course a poor-man's dark frame subtraction.

Sounds difficult? No? It's all pretty easy and I've got a great description of these techniques all set to publish soon on my BLOG.

The red is garish, I agree. If I decide I want to, I can use the techniques described in "foreground-o-matic" to replace this tree with a different manifestation of the gnarled bristlecone.
