LINΞΛS 186 255-6 @ Soignies
Dat we in Nimy geen ladder hadden gebruikt, kwam doordat we ondertussen op Belgische Live Spots de spotmelding hadden gelezen, waarin stond dat de 49803 van Neslé Somme naar Aalst onderweg was met de 186 255 op kop – één van de locomotieven in Lineas-huisstijlkleuren en dus zeker een foto waard.
De voorziene doortocht in Soignies stond gepland om 12:09, wat haalbaar leek vanuit Nimy. Door de opgelopen vertraging van de Ouigo besloten we echter de meters door het plaatselijke veld niet met een ladder in de hand af te leggen. Dat zou ons immers kostbare minuten schelen op weg naar de auto.
We vertrokken dus vliegensvlug naar het dichtstbijzijnde plekje in Soignies (uiteraard zonder snelheidslimieten te overschrijden). Daar besloten we ons te splitsen: terwijl Wouter een plekje vond langs de straat, trok ik het noordelijk gelegen veld in. Uiteindelijk sloten ook Bram en Finn zich bij ons aan, al kozen zij nog een ander zichtpunt om de trein vast te leggen.
Jullie kunnen dus ongetwijfeld nog een aantal mooie foto's verwachten van deze fraaie zondaagse verwachten. Ik begin alvast met mijn versie van de feiten.

The reason we didn't use a ladder in Nimy was that we had meanwhile read the spot report on Belgische Live Spots, which stated that train 49803 from Neslé Somme to Aalst was en route with locomotive 186 255 at the front — one of the locomotives in Lineas house colors, and therefore certainly worth a photo.
The scheduled passage in Soignies was planned for 12:09, which seemed achievable from Nimy. However, due to the delay of the Ouigo, we decided not to trek those meters through the local field with a ladder in hand. That would undoubtedly save us a few precious minutes on the way back to the car.
So, we quickly set off for the nearest spot in Soignies (naturally without exceeding speed limits). There, we decided to split up: while Wouter found a spot along the street, I headed into the northern field. Eventually, Bram and Finn joined us as well, although they opted for yet another vantage point to capture the train.
So, you can undoubtedly expect a few more beautiful photos of this splendid Sunday freight. I'll start by sharing my version of events.
