Old marine engine, Burra, Shetland
An old marine engine dumped in the sea at Burra, Shetland. The maritime industry, mainly fishing, is at the heart of every community in Shetland. The sea, fishing, fishing boats, fishermen and the wives and families who support them, are the backbone of Shetland's heritage and a major player in the prosper of life in Shetland today.
The photo was taken fairly late (although it stays twilight all night during the summer) so had to use ISO 1600 which has left me with a lot of noise. I managed to get rid of some of it in photoshop but I actually don't mind what's left. Happy to hear if you disagree though.
