Arm Scar

Artery was harvested from here.

Veins are more commonly used, but my surgeon prefers to use arteries as they last longer ;-)

He also prefers to use from the arm rather than the leg, which not only gives me a readily available 'war wound' to show off......but means recovery/movement is more quickly achieved :-)

 

Downside.....I feel I now need to get a tattoo on that wrist stating: "In the event of unconsciousness, please check other arm for pulse before closing any lids on patient", as I no longer have a pulse in that one :-o
