Splash of Color
As I was walking back home from the campus this afternoon, I spotted this lone gorgeous rose in our next door neighbors front yard. Last summer, there were many such roses blooming on the plant, but at the moment, there was only the one. It was overcast and made it easier to capture without over-saturation, but I'm also shooting only RAW now. I was intrigued with the blend of colors and the moisture on the petals (it has been raining a lot here this past week). A wide aperture for a narrow depth of field and the rest is history...
