Half Dome Cables, Yosemite National Park
Here's something you don't see too often: the cables below Half Dome summit with hardly any people on them.
It was slow and crowded on the ascent, with progress being blocked by something I haven't seen before - a couple with climbing harnesses, lanyards, and carabiners, clipping in and out after each post. Great. Hard to pass them without endangering yourself, or someone else. They seemed scared to death, and kept apologizing to everyone. Probably still up there. It's nice to be safe, but geez.
I'm not sure where everyone went, but coming down was nice and quick.
