Creek Beach, East Shore, Lake Tahoe
A two mile stretch of national forest shoreline on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe yields some of the lake's best beaches and coves. Called "Secret Harbor" on maps, every little cove and crescent is named by locals. Foot access only (or by boat), these get heavy use in the summer, but the rest of the year are deserted.
The state park system still tolerates a "clothing optional" policy in this area, so carrying around a DSLR with a big lens can lead to some awkward moments...
