Beer Trailer.
No 3030- Rotank Flat Wagon.
A long wheelbase (16’0”) wagon designed to carry a four or six wheel trailer.
H & G Simonds Ltd was a brewing company founded in Reading Berkshire, England in 1785 by William Blackall Simonds.
The company amalgamated with Courage & Barclay in 1960 and dropped the Simonds after ten years.
Photographed at Didcot Railway Centre which is a living Museum of the Great Western Railway.
The centre is an industrial museum, the buildings and exhibits are preserved as far as possible in their original state.
My friend Dave Denby and I recently had a day at the centre, I have to say it is a fantastic place with lots of photographic opportunities.
