Beautiful but Lonely

This beautiful peacock was so lonely ;-[

 

He would call for a mate every evening and into the night and then again first thing in the morning. All of this while he roosted under my window at the old Del Monte Hotel in Monterey.

 

Sad part; there was no mate. He was there alone.
