Ross Geese
Ross's Geese on Buckley Rd. SLO 12/14/09. Noticed geese near road driving by. Unidentifiable to me, so I ran home got the tele (left the OS on OFF!) and went back to the flock. After a few minutes of shooting, another car pulled up and a photog got out and began rapid fire. It was Brad Schram, pro birding tour leader. He gave me an indepth description of their flight from Siberia to CA. Only a few, <5, stop in SLO County. Mr. Schram believed this was the largest flock of Ross's Geese that has ever been seen here. So, what are you waiting for? Pls forgive the poor qual.
