Learned something new today at the Vietnam Memorial :

From the start of the war, 1959, it took 5 years to fill one panel with the names of our deceased. Then the second panel only took 5 months, and as the war progressed and troop buildup continued, the death numbers took only a few weeks or less to fill a panel.
