Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is situated in Chinatown in Singapore. It's actually a modern building, constructed in 2007. The curious name derives from the left canine tooth of Buddha. This is said to have been extracted from his funeral pyre in Kushinagar, India. It is now displayed in a large stupa (dome-shaped shrine) in the Temple's grounds.
