Just messing about with an idea :-) I guess a light background might work better and some better smoke trails ...?

Strobist info:0.8 secs exposure. EOS50D, Canon 180L @ F3.2, ISO 200 MT24EX Flash used head A at 1/16 power to catch smoke trail lower left behind shot and head B @ 1/8 power right at overhead reflector! flash fired manually and shot heavily processed to remove black felt background... !
