Pen Park Ladder pitch

Pen Park Hole hides itself under a housing estate in Southmead Bristol it is an enormous underground cavern with a lake at the bottom.

The cave is very unusual, it was formed by rising water around 250 millions years ago.

The lake at the bottom fluctuates by 30m,

Although studies have been carried out, the reason for this is unknown.
