February 11th 2008 - Cause this is how I (used) to rock.
10 points to whoever can guess what record cover this is from. I'll tell you at the bottom of the post.
Today was kind of a blah day. My friend Rodney got a call this morning telling him that his dog broke it's neck. He went home to see what he could do but before long it was gone. What a way to spend the day after your birthday... suck.
Later on we finished the rest of our "Office" parody and had a cake for Rodney and John Micahael for thier birthday's.
So this picture... been wanting to do this for a while. I was a emo rocker before there was emo music. I wanted to sing songs with pretty melodies and harmonies at a fast tempo. Man those were the days. I got the most excercise flailing about like this on stage. It was so cathartic. I don't miss hauling around the equipment though.
This is from Ted Nugent's record "Free For All". I'm not a Ted Nugent fan really, but this is the second piece of art that I've done that gave a nod to the "Motor City Madman". I told this whole story about him in my film "Songs About Your Girlfriend". He's an interesting guy.
Strobist Info: Alien Bees B800 through softbox at camera left and two SP Studios strobes lighting up the white backdrop.
