Just Me and the Milky Way

I took advantage of a good weather forecast, set the alarm for 3:30, and then drove 45 minutes South West of Brisbane this morning to have a play with my Tokina 11-16mm lens.

 

This is a single 30 sec exposure at f/2.8 and 3200 iso. The foreground lighting (me) was from a torch reflecting off my car nearby.
