Washington DC, June 24, 2023. Shortly after 10am on the morning of June 24, 2022 the Trump-packed right-wing dominated Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade. This essentially stripped reproductive rights from millions of women in 22 states. Thousands descended on the Supreme Court in protest.
Today on the one year Anniversary of the overturning around 500 reproductive rights activists associated with ACLU, Planned Parenthood and other groups gathered at Union Station for a rally with speeches. Respectable polling consistently shows that well over a majority of American voters do not agree with the Supreme Court Dobbs decision that overturned Roe. The upcoming 2024 election will likely be a referendum on this issue.
