Bardick (Echiopsis curta)
The Bardick (Echiopsis curta) is a small, chunky, venomous snake that lives in the sandplains of southern Australia. It is not much alike any other Australian snakes which has led to it being placed alone in the genus Echiopsis. While they can inhabitat a whole range of microhabitats they seem most fond of areas with old growth spinifex which they can hide in the centre of, eating the other small geckos and skinks that also call the spinifex home.
