Vintage Mintage

On a recent trip to regional Victoria, I stumbled upon a great selection of long neglected vehicles in various stages of decay.

The front vehicle is an art deco inspired 1936 Buick Century, the first Buick which could reach a top speed of 100 miles per hour. Just over 17,000 four door sedans were produced with a floor shift three speed transmission and a 320 cubic-inch straight eight engine.

The vehicle in the background appears to be a 1936 Chevrolet FC Standard 4 door sedan in excellent condition despite its age and current location (despite '37' being spray painted on the passenger front door). Many thanks to Australian Classic Car for their assistance with the identification of the Buick.
