Protection of Saint Ignatius - Tribute by Stephen B Whatley
Light of peace, hope & courage through Saint Ignatius of Loyola, whose Feast is celebrated today. Blessings....especially to all suffering in Brasil; of which St Ignatius is Patron.
This tribute was created by British expressionist artist Stephen B. Whatley on this date in 2017.
The artist has an image of Saint Ignatius, by the front door of his home - because Saint Ignatius is known to be of powerful protection against the Devil and thieves. The reverse of the card explains:
ST. IGNATIUS AGAINST DEMONS:
Catholics are recommended to attach an image of St Ignatius of Loyola behind the front door of their home, because the Saint commends the devil, in the name of Jesus,
DO NOT ENTER THIS HOUSE. In fact, St Ignatius exerts great power over demons, as we read in the prayer of the Church:
"DAEMONES MIRUM EXERCUIT IMPERIUM" (He exercised great power over demons)
For this reason it is a habit to put the image of St Ignatius behind the front door, or elsewhere. The devil himself once said, "I can not get into your house until you remove
that image from your door." During the exorcisms carried out in Rome, the devil said screaming furiously, "Do not call St Ignatius, because he is the worst enemy I have in the world".
This Saint is also powerful against thieves. Where his image is placed they do not enter. This is demonstrated by many factual cases. (By P. Luigi Grazioli)
