Jean-Baptiste de La Salle ( April 30 1651-April 7 1719) was a French priest and founder of The Institute of The Brothers of The Christian Schools; devoted to teaching the poor in France with a dependence on the Holy Spirit.
2019 marks the 300th anniversary of his passing and this oil painting was commissioned by San Miguel High School, Arizona, USA; where the original work of art will hang, as a focus of prayer, for current and future generations of students and staff alike.
