Our Lady of Guadalupe with artist Stephen B. Whatley. 2017

Expressionist artist Stephen B. Whatley in London on February 21, 2017 with his tribute painting 'Our Lady of Guadalupe, Queen of The Americas', just before the oil painting was collected for crating and shipping to the USA; destined to a new collector in California.

A blessing…& a missing. It is always quite a wrench for a working artist to lose the original work that comes from the heart, soul & prayers with such passion. This work is going to the most appreciative of collectors, from all he has already expressed.

The work of Stephen B. Whatley has been published in TIME magazine and is in private collections worldwide; and in public collections including BBC Heritage, The Royal Collection of Queen Elizabeth II, London Transport Museum & Westminster Cathedral - which staged his 2013 exhibition 'Paintings From Prayer'.

His series of 30 paintings commissioned by the Tower of London in 2000 is permanently reproduced through out Tower Hill Underpass, open daily, that leads to the Tower of London.
