It is common knowledge that Robber flies have the finest moustaches of all flies. Rarely mentioned is the extreme jealousy this causes in other types of flies, who are generally only able to grow sideburns or unimpressive beards. Facial hair is extremely important to all members of the order Diptera, regardless of gender. It is not uncommon for a fly to spend upwards of 20 percent of it's income on hair tonics and grooming products.
The robber fly evolved massive eyes that can see almost 360 degrees so that it can see it's own moustache from as many angles as possible, as well as being able to see the envious expressions on other flies' faces.
