Balearic Warbler (Curruca balearica)-6945

The Balearic Warbler (Balearsanger / Curruca balearica (Sylvia balearica)) is endemic to the Balearic Islands .

I heard this bird a long time before I saw it and consider myself very lucky to have found a Balearic Warbler prefering trees over the thicket they usually live in. I have heard lots of these warblers before, but this is the first individual I've been able to take photos of. Location: Son Real (near Can Picafort, Mallorca, Spain).

Since the bird was singing most of the time I believe it must be a male.

Canon 70D, Canon EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS USM.

You will find more photos of the same species in my Balearic Warbler set.
