Panorama from Augstbordhorn (view as big as possible)

The Augstbordhorn (2972m) is a fantastic vantage point. Looking to the south, you can see quite a lot of 4000-meter-peaks:

The first group on the left are Fletschhorn (3982m), Lagginhorn (4010m) and Weismies (4017m).

The second group is the Mischabel Group with Balfrin (3736m) between Balfrin Glacier and Ried Glacier, Ulrichshorn (3925m), Dirruhorn (4035m), Hohbärghorn (4219m), Nadelhorn (4327m), Dom (4545m) and Täschhorn (4491m).

Behind the Täschhorn and above the Matter valley emerges the Monte Rosa Group: Nordend (4609m), Dufourspitze (4634m), Liskamm with its three peaks (4527m, 4417m, 4479m), Castor (4223m), Pollux (4092m), Breithorn (4159m) and the Klein Matterhorn (3883m).

To the foreground again: The sharp and glaciated peak right of Klein Matterhorn is the Brunegghorn (3833m). The highest peak of that group is the Weisshorn (4506m) with the rocky needle of the Grande Gendarme (4331m) to the right, as well as Bishorn (4153m) and Tête de Milon (3693m).

The grayish-brown peak on the far right is the Schwarzhorn (3201m) which can be reached from the Augstbordhorn via the Augstbordgrat (the arrete in the foreground with the little snow fields) and the Dreizehntenhorn (3052m).
