Da ist es nun, das neue Ilmenauer Schwimmbad (Schwimmhalle), ein wahres architektonisches Meisterwerk.

 

Es besitzt keinerlei Ecken und soll so die Luftzirkulation verbessern. Der Knaller ist jedoch der Wärmeverbund mit der angrenzenden Eishalle! Die Abwärme welche bei der Eisproduktion anfällt wird nun nicht mehr in die Luft gepustet, sondern Energieeffizient zum beheizen der Schwimmhalle verwendet! Der bereits vorhandene Teich musste zwar für den Neubau etwas verkleinert werden, ich finde jedoch das es seiner Schönheit keinen Abbruch tut. Er ist immernoch genauso schön. :)

 

Neben dem sportlichen Aspekt habe ich dieses moderne Gebäude durch seine besondere Form und faszinierende Beleuchtung gleich in mein Herz geschlossen! Ach... schön! <3

There it is, the new Ilmenau swimming pool, a true architectural masterpiece.

 

It has no corners and is designed to improve air circulation. But the best thing about it is the heat connection with the adjacent ice rink! The waste heat which is produced during the ice production is no longer blown into the air, but used energy-efficiently to heat the swimming hall! The already existing pond had to be reduced in size for the new building, but I think it does not spoil its beauty. It is still just as beautiful. :)

 

Beside the sportive aspect I took this modern building into my heart by its special form and fascinating lighting! Ah... beautiful! <3
