Jursta Runestone
Legend has it that this Viking era runestone at Jursta in Ösmo socken in Nynäshamn was once used as a stove. That didn't end well as mysterious things started happening in the house. It was soon out by the side of the road again. The inscription translated reads: Gynna had the stone raised after Saxe, Halvdans son. Snapped a few days ago on my first bike ride of the year to Nynäshamn. It looks like this runestone could use some cleaning up, btw. Riksantikvarieämbetet sometimes fill in the inscription so that it will be easier to see and read it.
