No trip to Lake Brunner is complete without a swing over the lake on the rope from the impossibly high tree....
They took turns flying out over the water - checking for fish and hanging on until their hands were shaking so hard they almost had to swim back.
There is talk of Occupational Health and Safety taking the rope down because some kid 'might get hurt' but I'm sorry, I guess I'm of the generation that thinks kids should have a chance to be kids, take risks and have the chance to push their limits.... I see nothing wrong with a rope swing over a lake.....
.... the worst part of that is that I'm "of a generation"..... blimey, when did that all happen??!!?? :P
