shattered porcelain
a trail of petals and snow
1/52
Water submerges her waist
in a cold blanket
she tips her head to the black sky
and lets the stars slip down her throat
one
two
three
she counts them
the moon howls down at the land
in a blaze of white light
and she keeps her frail fingers
under the water’s keep
upon her body grows a field of
hills and valleys
and in the cold
as the hum of night bites her neck, she remembers
how he fit into her
This was the first large snow storm we got this winter so I had to go out and take pictures :) The snow was falling so picturesquely.
My legs were freezing after I took this and I promptly drank tea in front of the fire upon arriving home.
Happy 2013 everyone! I hope this year brings nothing but joy to all you Flickrites :)
In honour of the new year, and the prospect of a new beginning - I am going to start a 52 weeks project. And I'm going to finish it.
I honestly so excited as this is the first real project I'm seriously attempting. Hopefully, there will be a new photo AND a new poem every week - since I know many of you also like to read my poems (which thrills me to no end)!
365 days of blank pages lie before me - and on them I hope to write a novel in which I end up loving myself.
