Clarissa Ocampo, mezzo soprano

Clarissa was seen in Manila last year in the role of Judith in Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle, a season ender for the MCO Foundation's 2008 Festival. She was one of the featured artist in the CCP's Annual Gala Performance Virtuosos 2008 Voices Through Time, as well as, the 2007 Filipino Artist Series. Other roles include : Flora Bervoix in Verdi's La Traviata with the Singapore Lyric Opera, Olga in the Philippine premiere of Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Cherubina in the concert version of the Marriage of Figaro with the UST Symphony Orchestra, and as the alto soloist in Sir Michael Tippett's A Child of Our Time, with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. She also performed the role of Lady Thiang in the Broadway National Touring

Company of the King & I. Her debut album Cradle Songs, a collection of art songs and lullabies from all over the world, sung in their original languages, won " Best Lullaby Album ", and " Best Classical Album " at the 2004 Children's Music Awards, and was then released in the Philippines in 2006. Clarissa is a graduate of The Julliard School, with a Master of Music Degree in Voice Performance, and an alumna of the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music, under Prof. Irma Potenciano. Clarissa dedicates this evening's performance to the memory of her father, Dr. Conrado S. Ocampo.
