Starting out as the Planet Theatre and Fulcrum Entertainment Centre (incorporating the Thames Hall), it was converted into a multi-screen Cinema for Maybox in 1987. The Planet Theatre remains intact (as screen 4 Impact), with flytower and dressing rooms but the screen is now immovable and the backstage area is unused.
