The benefit of having some mist around is having the context of the woodland but still allowing the main subject to dominate. However, there’s beauty in the tangled mess that sits subdued in the background, and I think this is one of those scenes where it plays a significant part of the image. Unfortunately, only to be seen at it’s best when viewed large and you can see the detail... which is a shame when we know that most folks will view this on a mobile phone.
