October 23 2007 day 11 - Under pressure

One of the complications of diabetes is hypertension. Complications can occur either at the micro and/or macro vascular level. One way to monitor cardiac health and vascular status is to routinely check one's blood pressure. I monitor my blood pressure at least twice a day to make sure that it is within normal range (120 systolic/80 diastolic). The sphygmomanometer is part of my diabetes management kit.

 

There is no cure for diabetes, yet.
