Down jacket

Two reasons why I’ve been going through my Japan folder a couple of times this week: I got a few fine art print orders that included some Japan shots, and our White & Wild Japan tour is the first tour of 2019 and the start of our season.

 

I have mentioned this before, but it’s amazing what a difference experience makes when you look at your own shots from long ago. Just this morning I saw many great shots that I hadn’t even flagged, whereas the ones I had where not always that great. I won’t even mention the post-processing…

 

This shot of a whooper swan was taken in winter on Hokkaido, the Northern island of Japan. It was shot with a Nikon D4 and a 600/4.0 lens.
