Beyond The Veil Of Death IV
This is the fourth image from the series ‘Beyond the veil of death’ that won me Third Prize in this year’s International Photography Awards - shot in Deadvlei, Namibia.
This is another one that I've shot before in 'normal' circumstances. The dunes are relatively close in the background in this scene, and they're either shaded at sunrise, or they get a lot of light from late morning on. The result is that all the tracks (homo sapiens, oryx gazella) and the vegetation really draws a lot of attention. I was therefore eager to shoot this one again with fog.
I like how there are two distinct layers in this shot and the position of the trees relative to each other. And is it me, or is that right tree in the foreground cheering?
If you're interested in joining us to Namibia, please check out our website for more information: squiver.com
We were the first company to offer specialized photography tours to Namibia, and we are still the only one that offers microlight flights over the famous Namibian sand dunes. There is no better organized Namibia tour out there.
Both 2015 tours are already fully booked, but you can still reserve a spot for the 2016 tour on our website.
Hope to see you there!
