ZZ330, Airbus A330 MRTT Voyager KC2 (CN 1046) of the Royal Air Force touches down on Glasgow Prestwick Airport's runway 30 after a short hop from RAF Brize Norton before retuning around an hour later. This cycle seems to be undertaken numerous times per week, with nothing loaded or unloaded. I suspect the contract with Air Tanker stipulates a minimum guaranteed utilisation of the aircraft, meaning crews are obliged to bore pointless holes in the sky to hit the hours target. Happy to be corrected on that one.
