and it's in Crete, Greece

when you have friends that live in the place you're visiting - you can find yourselves in the most amazing places.
and of course, the most amazing places are the hardest to reach.
I was driving in a rented car, a normal 5-seats car. we were six people.
everything about Greece and Greek people is chaotic - but that's also the
charm of the place and the people. the road was very tricky - even my local
friends missed some turns. it was a two-way road, that fits only one car at
a time. it was bumpy and curvy like a snake, and it was going down from a cliff. without
any rails to protect the car from falling. a lot of the roads in Crete are like that - but that's what makes these places
so special - because they are hard to reach not many people visit there, especially not tourists.
anyway, when we parked the car there were about 5 cars, and 3 goats. we couldn't see anything
special from where the car stood, but when we got closer this view was infront us. I can't describe my feeling
at that moment - I was peacefull and excited at the same time. we all started laughing
and shouting like a pack of wolves. an the breeze...oh the breeze!! it was wonderful! we
had to go down there, which was also very tricky, but who cares? all we wanted was to
feel these crystal-clear water on our bodies. so after half an hour we were down there.
there were maybe 30 people, max. all Greek, no tourists (well, except for me). the waves were pretty high
but no one could resist diving in. it was cold, and clear. we could see the bottom with no problem.
after two hours there were only us on the beach. the sun started going down and it was time to say
goodbye and climb back up. we had to go back on the same road with the car, but this
time going up - which was harder. but we all agreed - it was worth it. totally worth it.
